Legal Issues SIG

Convenor: Katherine Lippel

Co-convenor: Kemi Labinjo

The Legal Issues SIG invites discussion, research ideas, as well as collaboration on legal issues

aimed at advancing and enhancing harassment-free workplaces. Issues of interest include: the comparative regulatory frameworks governing harassment in various jurisdictions; the intersection of potentially conflicting legal rights such as freedom of expression and freedom from harassment; the role of different actors (employers, advocates, unions, courts and arbitrators) in the implementation of the right to freedom from harassment. What research is ongoing with regard to legislation, decisions, or extra-legal approaches? Are there examples of best practices that might assist in the challenging implementation of these rights?
